クリコー・クーシアン
Krikor Kouchian

1975年、フランス生まれ。5年間アコースマティック音楽を学び、25年以上にわたって電子音とコンクリートサウンドを実験してきた。テクノ、ダブ、実験音楽のジャンルの境界を押し広げながら、自らの芸術を問い続け、新たな音の地平を切り拓いてきた。
L.I.E.S. Records、Tigersushi、Big Love Records、Boomkat Editionsなど、フランスや海外のレーベルから50以上の作品をリリースしている。また、様々なアート・インスタレーションやパフォーマンスに参加し、ドキュメンタリーや映画のサウンドトラックを作曲している。2000年初頭より、数々の国際フェスティバル（Mutek、Club Transmediale、Ars Electronica、Siestes Électroniques in Kyotoなど）で即興ライブアクトを行う。2021年にはヴィラ九条山に滞在し、他のレジデントアーティスト、Alexandru Balgiu、Céline Pelcé、地元の音楽家高橋アキ、Mars89、ビデオアーティストJackson Kakiと共同でパフォーマンスや創作を行った。
2023年ICA京都リサーチフェロー。

Born in France in 1975. he studied acousmatic music for five years and has been experimenting with electronic and concrete sounds for over 25. He has kept questioning his art and bringing himself to new sonic horizons, pushing the boundaries of techno, dub, and experimental music genres.
His discography counts over 50 releases on French and international labels such as L.I.E.S. Records, Tigersushi, Big Love Records, and Boomkat Editions. He has taken part in various art installations and performances and has composed several documentary and movie soundtracks.
Since early 2000 he has performed improvised live acts in numerous international festivals (Mutek - Club Transmediale - Ars Electronica - Siestes Électroniques in Kyoto…).
He was a resident at the Villa Kujoyama during Season 2021; he did performances and creations in collaboration with other resident artists, Alexandru Balgiu and Céline Pelcé, and local musician Aki Takahashi, Mars89, and video artist Jackson Kaki.
He is a research fellow at ICA Kyoto in 2023.
